Ekam Foundation Mumbai is a registered charitable trust under Bombay Public Trust Act 1950 having commenced its work 6 years back in the city of Mumbai and Maharashtra. The Foundation was started with the idea of providing access to safe, affordable and timely surgical support to less privileged children. Most parents from economically weaker sections find themselves at crossroads when their limited financial resources need to be spared for their children’s healthcare. This is true for both acute conditions that need immediate attention and chronic diseases where expensive prolonged treatment and care are needed. It is here that Ekam Mumbai steps in to provide necessary medical aid so as to save a precious life.
Over the last few years our work has grown to encompass awareness programs focusing on health and hygiene among the Primary schools of Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM), with the sole intention to bring about a behavioural change among the children and thereby bringing down morbidity and mortality on account of common communicable diseases and to promote overall health. The future work of Ekam Mumbai is set to make significant contributions in children’s healthcare by always striving to be a helping hand to children in need.
Ekam Foundation Mumbai has supported children from across the length and breadth of the country. In 2017 Ekam Mumbai started its operations in Kolkata, West Bengal, and its catchment areas; as well as in Visakhapatnam in Andhrapradesh.
